Schtuv
I had to do some harsh braking the other day (thanks to a BMW with two malfunctioning brake lights and no indicators making a sudden turn). The fronts locked up for 2-3 meters, and since that (noticeable when I drove off) there's a slight 'bump-bump-bump' when driving - much like unbalenced wheels at speed, but generally between 10 and 40 mph, and feeling around the once-per-revolution mark. I can see two possibilities here; 1. I've taken some rubber off my tyres, and they're out of balence. 2. I've got a flattened spot in the tyre from where they locked. Although I've had a good look at the tyres and there appears to be no damage, what are the options if it's point 2 (which I suspect it is)? I assume 'get new tyres', but would swapping the backs and fronts make a difference? And would they wear back to an even shape over time? For reference they're Kumho 16" 225/45s all round (yeah - it was after christmas, I was out of cash, and really needed tyres for an MoT) ... never had the problem with the old Bridgestones after locking up under braking
AlanM
Can't see it being either of those options without being visible
SupraStar 3000
sounds like flat spot to me. I had the same after very hard braking. Try rotating the wheels and see if that helps
Schtuv
I take it that, if this is a flat spot, is more 'irritating' than 'dangerous'?
AlanM
Still think if it was flat spot you would see it IMO

Pete
A good opportunity to buy some decent rubber.
