Ive been in this certain boat for a few years, wanting to get a tatoo across the top of my back (shoulders) and every time i go to the parlours i cant make my mind up as to whether to go for it or not? :search: ive found a tatoo i like but im not sure whether to commit

Right now i want one, but im scared that i will regret it in the future?!

Should my apprehension to the matter say:

Well if you not 100% dont bother, tatoos are for life

or should it be more like:

Its not the end of the world across you back and you might not regret it. Anyway, live for your youth?

Im just not sure, what do we think?

Don"t do it unless you want to look ........dare I say it .....a bit ........common. They look awfull when they get old & faded.I know quite a few guys & even more women that regret having tatoos done 5 or so years ago . If they self destruct after a few years then thats a different senario.Piercings can be removed & heal over.
I"m assuming this is your 1st.

One of the things that my mother repeatedly stressed to me when I was growing up was that a tattoo was for life, and it wasn't something you should change your mind about. It's had an effect, and something I never forget. I think you have to be very sure before you do it. (The irony is, she has some tattoos these days).

I had the same thing and to be honest i think one of the major things is going to be the pain for the one i want.
Last year on holiday i got one of those henna tattoo's to see how it would look and it was brilliant. Just need to work up the nerve and find the money :D

I'm not a tattoo person either, so I would have to say no... something you pick today you might hate in 10 years time...

That said, my missus has a few and I suppose I've gotten used to them.. personal preference I suppose. I did toy with idea of getting UV one so at least it wouldn't be visible in normal daylight.

I have a number of tattoos (6) and I knew that I wanted them without a shadow of a doubt. I picked one in a rush though and wasn't happy with it - I don't have any choice now :D

Don't do it unless you are 100% sure.

My tattoos are for me and they are symbolic, I can hide them all just wearing a t-shirt. IMO this is best as it doesn't matter if I am at a family barbeque or eating at le manoir, I can still wear short sleeved shirts and noone is any the wiser.

Good luck, whatever you do.
