the engine hasn’t been run since the accident ( he thought it was best not to until everything has been checked ) but it was running and driving lovely before hand.

Oh, well that's alright then... :p

(Sorry for the off topic)

Problem is, there isn't exactly many good shells around. Pretty much every one that gets taken off the road is due to a smash (and usally not a small one).

The people that blow engines tend to be the big power guys who just stick a new one in anyway. In fact I don't think I've ever known a Supra up for sale with a blown engine.

One guy worth speaking to is 'Jezzybabes', he runs a breakers yard and may have a shell that isn't too damaged (or at least put you on the waiting list for one).

Hang on in there. Some writeoffs are very minor!

As Homer said speak to Jezzy, he'll know what's available :d

Welcome. :) I have 13 shells to be precise. Some are break only, but i have a number of cat c/d shells which can go on the road. The example's below would make lovely cars once repaired. Ok, maybe not the 2nd one. :D
