ok so im driving along today. everytime i stop and start moving again it strugles to go. as long as i keep my foot planted or play with the throttle it will be ok, if i dont it stalls. It's an auto. now i had this problem around christmas time and got the box checked out etc - all seemed ok. but today it stalled twice. i also get a judder if i boot it out of a junction turning right.

today for some reason, the revs kept dropping to almost below idle everytime it tried to change to 2nd gear. then, and this is the bit thats never happend before, the "slip cont off" light kept flashing. i tried pressing the traction control button but the light just kept flashing. although the green one on the dash didnt, just the orange one. it got worse the nearer i got to my house, dont think it wouldve got much further as it was becoming almost impossible to drive.

im now thinking that the traction control is knackered? i left the car switched off for about half an hour and the lights disappeared, the car revs fine, and if i press the tc button the light comes on. i havent taken it out yet as i havent had a chance.

Any ideas? its comming to a point where im thinking of selling up as all the joys going out of owning one at the mo. Also failed mot as the rear right tyre is bald in the middle. not a good week :(

Dying/dead autobox perhaps? Could also be low on autobox fluid. Check that.

the fluids ok, and ive had the box checked by a gearbox specialist that my neighbours known for years. although i must admit when i took it down to him it wasnt doing it. and sods law means it wont do it if i take it back either. is there anywhere near south east london that will do some kind of diagnostics on the car at all?

1. Fluid,
2. IACV
3. Dying box

Speedo convertor problem, or top speed delimiter problem is my guess.

Either your warning light bulb is gone or someones took it out...

You can take the dash out easy enough to have a look :)

Could be idle control valve problem, or throttle position sensor, another thing to check for is the fuel pressure.
