Fuel Filler Cap

Yesterday I left work with no petrol. I drove to the nearest garage to remedy the situation, but couldn't get my fuel cap off... it would turn clockwise (tightening way) with the usual clicks to indicate that it wasn't tightening any more, but I couldn't move it anticlockwise. In the end I had to leave the forecourt felling like a bit of a twat, drove round the corner and hit it repeatedly with a tyre iron  . The black plastic bit came off and I used the tyre iron to turn the yellow bit!

Has anyone had this happen to them?

It is usually happening when you fill your car to full and drive till orange low fuel lamp goes on. And I would say it is underpressure, because once you open cap (after using all bad words dictionary) you hear whistle of air getting inside :p
