Havard
I have had a look at this but it doesn't mention anything about vehicles that are pre 2001. Or i could be going blind!! http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_10012524 H.

You can tax it before it expires, but you can still only get a whole year (or 6 months). I can't quite remember how soon before it expires you are "allowed" to buy it - its either 5 days or 15 day IIRC. Also, if you are really counting the pennies don't pay by credit card because there is a surcharge which will increase the price by about £3. I wouldn't say I was watching the pennies as I am loaded!! But I do begrudge paying those cnuts any more money than I have to do. I would rather flush it down the shitter than give it to the Government!! H.

Its about 2 weeks before it expires, certainly with the online tax you can't get it until the 15th of the month. And yes its £175 for the year for Supes.
