View Full Version : Phr Street Kit Question
Hi Guys, thinking about going single and I'am interested in the PHR street kit or possibly the stage 1,my sups a j-spec auto currently bpu, would I have to upgrade the standard injector setup if I fitted one of these turbos only looking for 500hp and no intentions of going any more, and what would I get with the kit you guys supply and total cost including shipping, thanks for you advice.

The PHR Street Kit is the fastest responding turbo system we offer for the Supra twin turbo at the lowest price possible. The Street Kit uses the very same PHR GT60 turbocharger found in the Stage 1 kit, however, the street kit incorporates a short-runner cast steel exhaust manifold instead of the HKS tubular manifold setup. This is perfect for running on the stock fuel system to make 500-520 WHP at 18 psi of boost. Due to the short-runner cast steel exhaust manifold, the PHR Street Kit makes full boost by 3500-3800 RPM, with peak torque at 4500 RPM. The PHR Street kit includes the PHR GT60 turbocharger with polished compressor housing and HPC coated exhaust housing, HPC coated cast steel exhaust manifold, 3" HPC coated downpipe, 2.5" aluminum "drop-down style" intercooler piping, 4" ceramic coated inlet pipe, 4" KN air filter, teflon braided oil feel lines, S/S oil drain lines, and all hardware necessary for a complete installation on your Supra. We recommend installation of the MAP ECU or other fuel management unit for fuel control with the factory fuel system. Available with blue, black, or red silicone couplers.
So you can run a stock fuel system and a piggy back ecu... Will produce 500BHP without major mods.. The Stage one would produce more power, however you need fuel system and management and your Auto box may Shi* its self even with 500bhp HTH
Did PHR write that or you Jody? Only reason I ask is that PHR would be referring to 550cc injectors when they state that it'll work with the stock fuel system..
Copy and Paste.... :) I forgot about the injectors in my haste....

hey that rhymes :d
Anybody fancying giving me one of these for free :innocent:
Sounds really good I thought I would have to uprate the injectors any idea on what price this single set up would cost?thanks for the quik reply.
Anyone know how much PSI/Bar this kit can run?
Also does the kit include everything required for the install?
It says in the write up 18psi should see around 500 ish...

IMHO i would not try and run 440cc stock j-spec injectors at 500ish bhp  I saw recently a j-spec car running Hybrids and 440cc injectors on a dyno and at 410 FWHP the injectors were max'd out and starting to go lean. PHR street advert is talking about usa cars which are the same as our uk i.e. 550cc injectors.
So i would get a set of injectors you could go UK 550cc (you would need a resistor pack as well) or 650cc which would give you a bit of head room with the duty cycles. I'm using Power enterprise which seem very good. You would also need a piggy back ecu to control the fuelling i know PHR sell MAP ecu's which get good write ups. I'm using a Greedy Ultimate which i really pleased with.
You could also get a FPR fuel pressure regulator as well to help regulate the fuel.
The PHR kit's are excellent quality! Im sure you would be really happy with one :)
I happen to have a set of UK 550's and a brand new resistor pack - let me know if you need it...

Hello Nige,
Sorry for the delay on getting a reply to you, I have been out of the office for a week at our National Supra Meet. The Street Turbo Kit is a complete kit and is ready to install. They are now instock for $3695 USD
The Kit will make about 430 RWHP on the 440cc Injectors. You can push for more but that is up to you.
500 RWHP on 550cc US Spec Injectors
The kit will make full boost between 3500 to 3800 RPMS, it includes the GT60 which is also in the Stage 1 Turbo kit.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can do.
Email or PM me

It can run 18psi on stock fuel. That goes for any turbo kit.
Not on UK pump fuel it won't.
:yeahthat:
On UK pump fuel, would it be making much more power than a well set-up BPU++?
Thanks guys, gonna go and have a talk with the missus.

You had better check that information.

Goes for any of our Turbo Kits.

So what RWHP will the street kit make at this pressure? (also the stage 1 kit)
So what RWHP will the street kit make at this pressure? (also the stage 1 kit)
The street kit will make between 500 to 520 RWHP @ 18psi also at full boost between 3500 to 3800 RPM's. The reason for the quick spool is because of the short runners in our log manifold.
The Stage 1 is capable of making 520 RWHP @ 18psi with full boost at 3800 RPM's @ 29psi it can make up to 630+ RWHP on (118 octane leaded race fuel)
Both of these kits are great for the street and road race application.

Joe

I'm in the middle of sorting out my set up. I got the PHR street kit, 650cc injectors, AEM ems, double de-cat, aeromotive fpr, new spark plugs (cant remember which), walbro fuel pump. It's all fitted now but I'm nearly up to 5 grand!
The PHR kit wont just bolt onto a jap spec car. Oil return and turbo elbow will have to be changed and I had to change the pipe connecting the turbo to the FMIC

So the Street Kit would be able to make between 500-520rwhp on pump fuel with 650cc drop in injectors and a stock motor??

When I did my install of the PHR street kit I fitted 650cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, fuel pulsation dampener removal thing and an fpr. I would say this is pretty much a minimum for anywhere near that HP

What sort of RWHP did you get from this?

We have never used the 650cc injectors so I could not tell you what different power level you would be looking at.
I know on our Fuel System we can break 600RWHP, just barly though.

Joe
So, what did the lady finally decide on? Will she let you get the Turbo Kit. ;) Let me know what I can do for you!
Cheers,
Joe
Sorry for taking so long Joe,woman are akward, so what are we talking price wise for the bolt on turbo gear that you supply T60Street including shipping? I know I will have to upgrade the injectors and various other bits and bobs mapping etc,I'am currently running with a walbro feul pump is this sufficiant? sorry just read an earlier thread is there an issue with the fmic piping fittment

would be gratefull if you can supply me with a list of the kit parts so I can let my mechanic have a look then advise me on what extra parts I will need to source, many thanks,Nige.

He don't know yet... Its not been on the rolling road yet.
Well he better move his ar*e cos I'm eager to find out!;)
Nige,
I am not allowed to provide you a list of the parts that is in our turbo kit. It keeps people from copying the kit. I can tell you when Jarrett was down there installing the pipe, he just bent it out more than normal and made it fit. As for the fittings that is news to me.

Joe
