View Full Version : Could this be used to install a 1 DIN stereo ? (pic inside)

Hi!

Could this facia adaptor be used on a Supra MKIV -94 ?
In the autoleeds pdf file is says Supra, but not specific which year it fits:( I want to use 1 DIN size stereo and cover the other un used 1 DIN hole!

Name of the facia is : FP-11-00

i haven't the slightest idea what the hell that is mate.

for sure if you're gonna change your stereo for a single DIN sized one you don't need that.

That looks like the old classic radio face plates which had two dial knobs...

Your best bet is to pop down to toyota and order the little parcel tray that takes up 1 din slot (costs around Ģ15), and then put the single din unit above it...

But if you replace with a 1 Din size stereo you get a ugly hole ? what is your solution for covering the hole ?

as above mate.

you can get a little pocket that fits in the hole.

this is available from Toyota but most members get theirs from Halfords (do you have them over there?)

Yes, that is exactley what i want, a little pocket :) We donīt have halfords here :( can i get it from Ebay? or is there a webstore that i can order it from? :)

Depends how much time you have on your hands. I cut a piece of 6mm MDF to shape, added holes for a switch and boost controller, fillered it all then spray my dash silver pearl. Result single DIN conversion :)
