View Full Version : How many speakers in Supra Mkiv -94 ?

How many speakars is there in a Supra mkiv -94 ? Someone told me there even was some supras that had a build in amplifier ? how to you know if you have a amplifier? I have one under my chair could that 1 be a factory amplifier ? Was there any options on how many speakars you could order from the factory, or all supras has the same number of speakars?

They've got 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, some models have a woofer behind the rear seat.

They all have an amplifier fitted , this frequently gets disconnected if an aftermarket head unit is fitted. :)

I think that there is four speakers. Two in the front doors and two in the rear, on the sides

Under the passenger seat - if it isn't there then it may have been removed in japland - they are shit!

Okej, How are the amplifiers hooked up? As normal amplifiers with RCA ? or a Toyota special cable ?

No idea, I think all my 3 supras had them removed before I got them.....although, I haven't checked the facelift TBH

I think they've got a special cable.

When you remove the stock radio and fit an aftermarket one you have to buy a wiring adapter which will plug into the car wiring and then into the radio : Autoleads PC2-17-4

Connecting this lead will bypass the stock amplifier.

Never understood why the UK Specs got a really crappy system as stock, no amps and speakers well that are poo at an understatement.
