Hi guys thought id best say hello to the forum... My names Patrick, im 21 and from somerset. Im buying a supra next week, its a 93, K, na with 150K on the clock, about 90k miles i believe. Is in pretty good nick i think just needs a damn good clean out (been owned by a farmer!) Im paying £1750 for it which I thought was a damn good price hence why im buying it and having to pay the silly insurance for it!! Do you agree? is there anyone else my age insuring a supra if so what is your premium? Thanks guys, Patrick.

That is cheap, im 22 in a TT and i get insurance from Adrian Flux for less than a grand.

That is reassuring, i got a quote online for £851.16 fully comp but was a little sceptical as i thought it would be more! Im waitin on a call back from sky insurance will see what they offer.

Be careful with the online ones, they often quote for a UK TT or even a MK3 Supra rather than the SZ, double check and then check again if you decide to go for that particular policy :)

Make sure your insurers know 100% it is a Jap import

Hmmm see they didnt even ask if it was an import which worried me, ill give them a call tomorrow and check.

Yes you can rest assured i will be looking after it much more than its previous owner!! i cant wait to get my polishing hands on it hehe :D

well sorted the insurance today, have been phoning looadsa different companies geting pissed right off with giving my details!

The outcome is quite peculiar.... i spoke to at least 3/4 specialist performance/import insurers (adrian flux, high performance, allen & allen, sky) and the best i got was £1500 from AF. Came onto here and searched again and found someone mentioning a cheap quote from admiral... gave them a try and quoted £832 tpft for a 10 month accelerator scheme (a yrs ncb in 10 months i assume?) and definitely down as an import this time so im chuffed :D

A week friday until pickup!!

I saw someone replied from somerset... many supra owner in my area?
