What aspect of the car doesn't feel right? What are the symptoms?

well it just wants to go all over the place some times it can feel like the back tyres r flat and it gose from side to side

Normally aspirated car?

The symptoms are a common thing, the fix is still elusive but it seems to be getting narrowed down, diff mounts being the current favourite.

Only seems to happen on the NAs - they only have one diff mount and the TTs have 2, perhaps one wears on ours and we don't notice but when the NA one goes there is no backup?

Interesting... I would have thought one good one would have been enough but if the problem only happens when the standard one you have on the car wears I guess it won't help much.

Could be worth doing the other one but it's a damn tricky issue to diagnose, all I know is that some people have swapped wheels, tyres, suspension, bushes, had alignment checks and more without sorting it once and for all - you are the first person I know of to do the diff mount and it doesn't sound like it's helped :(

Not just NAs, mine is a TT and has the scary side-side symptom also. Not so much in the dry, but very noticeable in the wet.

Not saying this is the same, just more info for the topic.....

My Supra was tight, newish and handled extremely well when I first got her. As the tyres wore down, it developed a nasty scary sideways kick at the back end every now and again when driving in a straight line in the wet. Motorway speeds were the worst, but it was almost unnoticeable in the dry apart from manhole covers. The rear tyres were found to be almost bald on the inner third but legal on the outer two thirds. I had the camber adjusted and new tyres, and the problem was gone never to reappear, even when the next set of tyres were close to worn out.

Edit to add that CW seems to have an answer...
