jaymdee
I'm looking to change my (UK) disks and before I order anything, can someone pleasde verify that I am right with what I've listed below? Disks: 43516-14030 & 43512-14200 Pads: 04465-14150 Shims: 04945-14110 Fitting kit: 04947-14010 My local Toyota has quoted me: £66+vat for each disk £57+vat for the pads £9+vat for shims £21+vat for fitting kit I can also get 10% off. Do these prices look reasonable. I am going to ring Steve Manley too, but not sure if I can collect, so local is easier. Do I need 2 sets of shims and fitting kits? I assume the pads are all 4 - is this right?? many thanks J
jamesmark
Have a word with Nic on here, its usually a few weeks wait but has amazing prices.
jaymdee
Yeah I know. I've bought quite a lot off him, but he won't do brake disks as they are very heavy and postage costs too much
Sheefa
Yep, you're far better sourcing the disks locally - Nic even says that due to weight. I doubt very much you'll get a better deal than through Steve Manley mate. His discounts are brilliant. I would also imagine that price is for a pair of pads mate, NOT all 4 but check. Pete
Bit more than I paid - See towards the bottom. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=59217&highlight=discs
Kranz
Pads are always for an axle set i.e. fronts or rears.

My quote works out about £20 more (for the disks), but as I can collect easily I'd probably save that on petrol for collection or postage. Hi J All above numbers are correct. cheers Cheers Nic
jaymdee
Just following this one up. Do I need to order 1 or 2 shims and fitting kits? I assume they come as an axle set, but don't want to order and find I'm short of the right bits cheers

jaymdee
Hi Nic, if I read your post correctly, the fitting kit includes the shims, so I only need 1 x fitting kit (04947-14010) for the fronts. Is this right? sorry for being a dumb-ass!!
