Technically EVERY Eleanor is a 'fake' Mustang. Ford or Shelby never made one, it was a 68 stang with a pretty bodykit made specifically for Gone in 60 seconds. Total Control Products made most of the kit and continue to sell it to this day. If you get your hands on a 67/68 stang and fit the kit, you have one every bit as legit as any other.

Actually Mustangs are the only thing I know about, everything else is made up or borrowed from someone else :D

I toyed with this when the kits first came out, but it's not so easy finding a mint chassis to work with, then parts aren't so easy to come by - especially if you'd want to stay as genuine as possible. In the UK at least.

That is gorgeous, I really love mustangs! So much so that I have been seriously considering getting a 60's mustang for a while now, one that I can restore. Preferably it'd be a '68 fastback like that, or an early convertible one.
