Was coming into work this morning on the bike and as i came under the Northalt junction on the A40 a Police car with lights flashing came on. So i let him go by but becase of the traffic he couldn't get any speed and was sat at the speed limit or below. So i just pulled out behind him and followed him all the way to Hanger Lane. Was great, although he was going slower than i probably would have done, but it was like the red sea parting as i made my way to work :D I wonder if i could have been told off.

Provided you didn't hinder their progress and didn't break any laws then you would have been ok.

They're not going to pull you over if they're on the way somewhere (unless it's the chippy), so go for it.
Also, if there's someone in the back they can't pull you because they're not allowed to stop for anything with an arrest on board (apparently).

Before i joined my escort i probably was not 100% at the correct speed :D But i made sure i was about 10/20 yards behind. Did have to toot to fool who pulled out infront of me and proceeded to drive ON the white line taking up 2 lanes.
