Hosting/uploading files online???

I'm off to South America on Sunday to do some backpacking for a few months. I'll be taking my digital camera and a 1gb memory card.

Obviously I'll be taking loads of pics with my camera. I'm a little worried that should my camera and card get robbed I'll lose all my pics.

Now I know I can upload pics to places like image shack but that's time consuming for each individual pic. Is there anyway I can upload a folder or file with say a couple 100 pics all in one go?? You know like drag and drop a folder to an account online?

I'm no expert, but i would open an account with a webhost.....ive been using www.freehostia.com

You can then upload pics by the folder via FTP....you would need an FTP client (few free ones if you google it)

There is probably an easier way though....and i would be interested if there is also as im going to be living abroad for a while soon.

My nephew is packing round Australia at the moment and he's uploading all his pics to FaceBook for us all to see.

I set up an website to use as an online diary, message board and photo album for when i went travelling. Worked a treat.
