Steviekid
Well, to say they're not perfect would be the understatement of the century but they're going to have to do!! Note the laziness in only doing the parts of the IACV assembly that I thought you'll be able to see.

Steviekid
What are using to polish (whole process)? Starting with wire wheel on bench/angle grinder to clean them up, then on to a combination of orbital sander/flap wheels/sandpaper to remove cast marks, then abrasive compounds (80/150/300 grit) and mops on bench grinder, then three different polishing mops. And a case of stella.

Jspec Germany
Damn. I don't have a bench grinder. Anybody have alternative methods? I have a cordless drill and a dremel.
Steviekid
Damn. I don't have a bench grinder. Anybody have alternative methods? I have a cordless drill and a dremel. I've ended up only using the grinder for the finishing stages because it's too weedy to do much else. You could use flap wheels on the drill and dremel to get all the casting marks out, work down to some fine sandpaper then get a polishing mop on the drill. You'll need a vice though.
