Has anyone smoothed the handles over?

I've noticed a few threads asking about this but has anyone actually done it?

There was a mention about having to have manual entry to the vehicle for the MOT but my mates Tuscan had a button for entry under the wing mirrors and there was def no way of climbing out of the boot?

I guess this requirement is for the emergency services to get into the vehicle rather than the driver getting out as you'd still have handles on the inside wouldn't you?

for the MOT you need a manual form of entry, presumably if you are in teh car and someone needs to get you out? Dunno really I always thought that if I had crashed and the emergency services needed to get me out they'd cut it anyway. Who knows. SOmeone will explain it I'm sure.

Anyway, yes, pic here.

I spoke to a tester and was told that if the handles were smoothed over you need another way of opening the door manually like the buttons under the mirror otherwise it will fail an MOT
