How about expanding the technical forums to include a number of sub forums?
E.G
Technical Questions
Brakes
Suspension
Engine / Engine Tuning / ECU
Exhaust Systems
Gearbox / Clutch / Transmission
Tyres / Wheels
Electrical / Security / ICE / Navigation
I think it would generate more specific posts and DIY technical encouragement. At the moment a post gets quickly pushed down the list and forgotten. If it "hung" around longer possibly it would be exposed to more members generate more of a searchable knowledge base?
How many other members have found and joined the club while searching for a solution for a problem?... I did!

Were not all in it for the money! :p
I worked in IT before deciding to start the company.. never looked back since!

So your first post...
Hello Guys and Gals!
Indigo-GT are a performance parts supplier based in south Wales, authorised suppliers for Apexi Blitz HKS and other mainstream brands. We also supply OEM parts for Japanese vehicles.
...wasn't an introduction to a company or a sales pitch?
And....
Hopefully we can get our traders status and get some offers going, but until then either myself (Rob) or Antony will be around to give advice and tips where needed!
...isn't you trying to become a trader to make money? If you truly do it for the love that's great, I look forward to taking some bits and pieces from you at cost price in the future. A noble gesture indeed.
In the meantime stick around, make yourself known and gain some kind of reputation for being a decent chap... then try and change the forum to meet your needs ;)

I can’t win... It was just a suggestion! :search:
I have explained exactly who we are in the new members section so you know what we are before we start posting no "beating around the bush".
I never posted any links to our shop or products, and our advice is free.
Honestly, if you don’t like us then don’t buy or recommend us, I can’t be fairer than that.
It's not a case of not liking you squire, I just don't have a clue who you are ;) (yet)
Give it time and keep the suggestions coming in, the folks in charge are busy locking threads but I guess they will be along to deal with stuff like this when it suits them :p

Have you been drinking tonight Michael?? It's only a suggestion. Are you trying to tell us that only certain people are allowed to suggest ideas to possibly improve the forum??
Michael's just being Michael Jimbo....

I haven't touched a drop in a week or so and I can't seem to see a post where I've suggested that people shouldn't make suggestions... I can see one where I say "keep the suggestions coming in" though.... Mmm....
New eyes bring new ideas and I have no objections to that - all ideas are worthy of consideration, I'm picking holes in something else.
Blimey Michael, did you forget to take your tablets at lunchtime?
That's at least the third person I've read you trying to pick a fight with since this afternoon.

Then why attack him?? Just reads like your a snob saying you thought he was here to sell and that's it.
Sorry folks :(
I have keyboard honesty tourettes, I think things, my hands type them out - I'm not saying I disagree with what I'm writing of course but increased self-moderation may be in order once in a while.
Time for a drink...
Indigo-GT,
You are not authorised to trade here, that includes, signature, avatar and username. You have already been pointed towards the trader rules.
Your avatar is being removed with immediate effect and your posts edited to remove references to your company.
Michael, I completely agree with your earlier posts.
