confused!!!

im going to sort out a new head unit and speakers the weekend for the soop.
NOW looked to find out which leads etc required and thats were the confusion sets in.
some say use the pc2-17-4 auotlead
how ever auto leads say its the pc9-411 :blink:
so which is correct

Assuming you are bypassing the stock amp (ie putting in a standard head unit with its own amp) it's a PC2-17-4 you want! I did a write up of my ICE install here:

I think the other one (PC9-411) is if you want to keep using the stock amp. Some more info here:

I think you will find you just didnt bypass the stock amp ;)

If you get the cable from Halfords you can always just take it back for a refund if it doesn't fit (as long as you are careful opening the packaging!). I'd suggest going with the PC2-17-4 first (seems to be the more common cable) and just take it back and exchange it if your setup needs the other cable. I'll agree it's all a bit confusing though - I delayed for ages before doing my install due to all the different advice on the forum! Best thing is definitely just to get that dash off and see what you actually need.
