my wife always gives me the quote , it statistically safer to fly than drive, ye but if a plane goes down you know your going to die , and ive seen some pretty bad smashed up cars on here and they walked away, i still feel like im going up and down on the plane and ive been off it for 9 hours

I completely hate turbulence, it always scares me so bad! But I love the acceleration before takeoff - feels great bombing down the runway!!! :D

Not me, I love it!... Right from the moment the engines wind up and you feel that thrust pushing you down the runway, through to the amazing sense of speed you get as you approach the runway to land... I even like the turbulence, it's just a crazy sensation...

Wierd seeing as I'm scared of heights!...

I haven't and I bloody won't be! I'm sure some mild medication will make the flight go well :D

lol lambertpig :D

I love it, but Kate isn't too keen.

I even like turbulance; that's like losing the back end of the Supe, having a moment of 'oh crap', but then getting it back again. :D

They really should show that as the in-flight movie on planes. On a massive screen at the front, with the sound over the PA so you can't choose not to listen. I'd wet myself laughing. :D

Yeah Mike has problems at 6ft 10. We normally get the emergency exit seats but they make me feel more nervous cause they give you leaflets about you being responsible for the exits...arggghhhh.

Anyway, I flew to Scotland and back recently and it was great. I think I've finally conquered my fear. :)

I don't mind flying but I must admit to having a slight phobia of crashing into the ground at 120mph should the plane fail.........just a thought:p

Flyings fun, it has to be first class every time, I can't stand being rammed into the back of the plan like cattle.

6ft 10? Blimey! Does he have to drive from the back seat of the Soop?! When I met you both at JAE last year I don't remember him being that tall, but then it was a bit muddy in places!

I don't mind the flying, its the descent I don't feel too comfortable with, especially some of the airports I've been to like Corfu. Weird sensation of falling then rising. My hands sweat just thinking about it. Gem doesn't like the take off, and thats the best bit!

I was never keen on landing in aircarft and I only got used to it a few years ago now.

The problem was, I always went up in the plane but the bastards always pushed me out at the highest altitude so I never got used to landing.

I'm OK now but I always get the urge to jump just 15-20 minutes after leaving Heathrow - don't know why:rolleyes:

I work for Virgin Atlantic, so the concessions are good :D If I didn't I wouldn't even nearly be able to afford it.

I've spent most of my life flying, over 1.5 years total time alive in the air. I love it. It scares me sometimes, but that's why I love it. I can't imagine having a different job. There's nothing like having your office at 30,000 feet. Flew for 6.7 hour over the South of the U.K. today as a matter of fact.
