What is the reason for putting an external wastegate on the stock turbos?

Only reason I can think of is perhaps better boost control (assuming it was a jspec originally), or for the sound. Either way its a lot of work for almost no gain :search:

i change my two turbo jspec for two euro, and i 'have a waste gate externe in my garage,i view this modification and i'like the sound of externe
is not for the gain.


it is obligatory to put it out of ETTc with this modification?
