Oh, one thing it has to have is a decent shutter speed, trying to do action shots is a pita with the one i have now.

Depends what you want etc but Fine s6500fd is good. Nikon D40 or Canon EOS 400d if you want to get a DSLR are excellentThe finepix F30 or F31 are really good too.
You can get sample pics and reviews from them all at http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1034 go to the reviews section.
Canon PowerShot G7 Digital Camera is a very nice camera.
I have a fuji finepix 5600 it takes really good photos using different exposures and iso settings but it can also do point and shoot shots in auto mode when you just want a simple shot.
The fuji series are good cameras and you can buy different lenses as well when you get more adventurous.
See attached for a picture i took with my Fuji:
PowerShot G7 - I have the G6 and thats pretty cheap now, got load of features found on an SLR etc, but in compact camera form.

Ive just bought a Canon EOS 350D DSLR and am loving it. Its £400 at the moment with the standard lens. Like Paul said, have a look in multimedia at the pics i took with it.
I have one of these: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/ex-z1000.html
OK it's not for the professional photographer but I absolutely love it. It does exacty what it says on the tin.

What are the movies like on it. Looking into getting a new camera, but want something that does half decent movie clips.
Obviously first and foremost it's a camera but I want something that will do decent clips.
This one any good?

I'm looking a buying one today. Any advice is welcome.
I can't send you movie clips right now as the only ones I have are of my God Daughter and they are NOT being transmitted publicly over the net.
I'll take a few and send you a link no worries, gimme a couple of days (right now it dark and dingy outside which will not help)

No you're alright mate, I don't want any clips (thanks though) just wanted your opinion on it really. I want something that's better than my shitty phone. I currently have a Nikon Coolpix 3100, the films are alright but it doesn't do sound and you can only have a 30 second clip.
Basically I want something with sound, longer clip and half decent quality. I am going to buy a proper digital video camera in the future for doing my longer stuff.
this one worth the money?
