View Full Version : Changing N/A intake cam
Right im going to be changing the intake cam on my N/A for a 265 cam with extra lift (though not above 10mm as this can spit the shim out), has anybody else done this or will i be the first N/A. The duration is on advice from TRD. I cannot change the exhaust as it drives the distributor and i cannot find a cam company who make them apart from crower in the U.S. and this would be a re-grind and put my car out of action for longer than possible.

tumbleweed
...........
which just goes to show all us NA peeps know nuffing about performance mods.
Your a pioneer
Have you spoken to Piper about regrinds?
I spoke to either piper or kent but cant remember which one and couldnt get through to the other. The company i spoke to said they were not willing to do a regrind and that was that. I do have another U.K. company lined up but a re-grind will put my car out of action for too long at the moment. If i get good results from the intake then i might get a re-grind on the exhaust when i go to sea in a few months and wont be using the car. The cam is now ordered and i will post when i can to let you all know.
Mos, ask around on the NA section of SF. :)
Okay i got my cam last week and will be fitting it on sat16, unfortunately i go out of country a week later so wont be able to post a dyno run for a while but ill let you all know how it feels, thats if anybody is actually interested
I'm interested in any empirical info on mods :)

Despite my sarky answer, I would be very interested. Your total costs would be good info as well, if you're OK posting them, or PM ing them.:)
