thats just stupid! I am suprised her poor little heart hasnt gone on holiday. Seriously how can the parents not think "hmm maybe we should lay off the snacks"

All this weight thing does my head in I work in a team of girls and all i hear about is the new diets they are on I go by the rule of if more is burt off than is eaten then weight will go that way as I can eat what I like as long as it is burt off.

Although I hope it is an illness, I would suspect that the parents have just let her eat shit all her life. With all kids you have to be careful what you let them eat.

My lad is mithering all the time and only seems interested in biscuits and crisps etc. We have been really strict with him but he never eats all of his tea. Ten minutes later he wants sweets!!

Poor kid, life ruined I would imagine!:(

who ate all the pies, who ate all the pies.......

... and the fish and the chips and the cake and the KFC and the pizza and the fridge.

For some reason this doesn't make me feel sorry only disgust that a child could get that big.

Making kids finish their dinner and clean the plate starts off some very bad habbits, which can grow into killer obsessions.

So many kids nowadays won't eat this or that. The amount of times I've heard things "He'll only eat crisps and biscuits" is ridiculous. Weak parents make a rod for their own back by letting the kid decide what he's having for dinner.

I know what you mean though. My Jemma used to be a fussy eater and wouldn't eat lots of things. We tried to encourage her to eat them but didn't put her under pressure if she wouldn't. What we didn't do was let her leave most of her meal and then be eating sweets and crisps and hour later.
She eats fine now, all our kids do. To be honest all our 3 kids are less fussy eaters than I am - but they didn't grow up with my mother force-feeding them sprouts and liver :)

There was a documentary on about genetic obesity tonight / last night :)

The guy on that program was 75 Stone!!!!! They had to cut the wall off his house and put him on a flat bed truck to get him to hospital... Sick...

It is an illness but the parents must be providing her with the food... she can't even walk to get it her self!!! When you suffer from clinical obesity you just can't stop wanting to eat despite the fact that they never feel hungry...

The People who feed them are just evil...

Ultimately someone has given her a hell of a lot of food.

I saw that 75st man being helped out with a crane- who the hell was buying the fat fucker food? He wasn't just housebound- he couldn't get his arse out of bed.

I was referring to the ridiculous portions they get handed, adult meals for 6 yr olds, stretched stomach means hunger pangs, hence over eating. Small portions of high quality being the way to go, with junk not bought or served.

AN eight-year-old boy who weighs 14 stone, more than three times the average for his age, may be taken into care if his mother fails to improve his diet..
