chilly
What differnece do they actually make. I've just fitted a K & N (£55)and it seems to make abolutely no difference
Faye
After market ones don't seem to make any difference at all (and in some cases can make performance flat spot), so apart from making cool noises and costing more I wouldn't bother with them. Rory
After market ones don't seem to make any difference at all (and in some cases can make performance flat spot), so apart from making cool noises and costing more I wouldn't bother with them. This is my experience from previous cars ... had K&N panel fitted on 2 BMWs and although it made slightly louder induction noise, no performance gains whatsoever. I'll probably just stick with a bog standard one for the supra when I service it shortly.

turbonut
Interesting replies, keep them coming peeps Dave You could PM chris wilson, he really knows his stuff but having checked other similar threads, concensus seems to settle on the standard. I was thinking of changing too but seems unecessary cost. sure you can find other goodies for the soop for the money!! lol
turbonut
Trd Nothing to do with the fact you sell em, of course, lol

Al Massey
the only way an after market induction kut works well is if it has a direct cold intake feed and has enough/adequate heat shield. otherwise the kit will suck in hot air causing heat soke and thats no good for the engine to perform at its best, thats why people say the stock is great, coz it does what its supposed to
dr_blackman
Thanks peeps, m45sey: I'm still going to use the stock box just put an aftermarket element in it so it can breath a bit better... i don't want a induction kit as it will loose me power as you said
