SupraStormRising
Mmmm was using Google earth to do a route and found a very curious structure, make that huge structure of what looks like lots of different tracks If you've got google earth search for Ampthill Bedfordshire, when it zooms in zoom back out and look to the left of the village. Is that a secret test track site or am I being daft tired Bet i'm wrong and it's a known racetrack

SupraStormRising
I know a mile long... I might have a word with them and see what the chances are of the club having a test day/afternoon on their tracks. The no speed limit circle track looks cool also I will see what they say... Would anyone be interested if I looked into this?

Gaz Walker
Aston Martin/Range Rover/Jaguar have 60 miles of test track in Warwickshire, inc a 2 mile straight. The public aren't allowed near it though Gaz.

michael
Years ago, my memory is vague but I seem to remember it being £1000's for an afternoon... as Gaz says they may not even let the public in now. Asking again can't do any harm though...
SupraStormRising
Very interesting seems they do events will investigate further looks like 200-300 notes maybe worth it if we can get it for less... What price would people be willing to pay? This is the site I found Millbrook (EDIT) Not that we would want the rally tracks...! LOL
edd_t
thinking about it and, and thinking of Top Gear a few weeks back. Has anyone found test track they had the Veyron on? Also, what about Nurburgring, what does that look like from above.
RedM
On the PDF from the Millbrook site there is a map of an Extreme Maneuvers Course. It appears not to be at Millbrook and is two miles long and up to 100 meters wide. Where's that then?
Snooze
Used to live right near there. Went to school in Ampthill!

michael
Rename this file to .kmz instead of .txt and it should give you quite a few circuits in Google Earth.motor racing tracks.txt
