Seems good value for money...they seems to be going for itro 190quid
If it doesn't pick up Radio1 then it's great in my book!
Specs are pretty good. Nice and powerful, lots of compression support, Bluetooth optional phone adapter would be cool.
There's not a great amount of sound alteration or sub control, but as a basic headunit it looks good IMHO.

depends what you want the head unit for . is it going to be feeding amps and subs etc, look for sound quality i have had several head units i recently changed from the new alpine cda 9857r which was good to an older pioneer madel the deh-p77mp which is top quality , excellent sound and highest pre out voltages i could find at 6.5v, sometimes the older units are better quality. look for the d/a converter burr brown is the best and 24 bit cannot be beaten this telss you how nice the head unit will sound
Hi Nic
Thanks for the prices , will be a couple of weeks till im commiting to one but will certainly let you know.
Do you know if the 6850 includes the ipod wire/adaptor
Thanks
Gord
Gord have you considered the alpine cde 9850ri its ipod ready and very good interface and sound output too. they are under £200 now and very good for the money.
scroll down on this page and you can see it about half way down:
http://www.alpine-europe.com/content/cms/index.php?t=351&highlight=ipod+ready
The pioneer has better ipod control than the alpine, much easier to use and is also full speed.
