I hate these red rims

Right I have decided I hate these red rims, they’re old and discoloured and not really me. As I cant afford new rims as I have just moved house (way hay). I think I will repaint them a dark grey colour to match my stealth look I am going for.

The thing is, I have never attempted this before and wouldn’t mind some pointer; i.e.: what sand paper to use what primer to use and what paint and lacquers to use.

So if any one has a few good ideas let me know.

I getting a mix response on these rims, now I don’t know what to do! I’m in a worse place than when I started. I think Chris you could be right. I am going down to Box hill the weekend after next with Andy (AKA Subculture and his kandy red RX7) so I will sit on the tins of paint I have bought until I come back and see what I think then.

Any way big thanks to Branners, Crimson Racing Sparco Viper that puts one question to bed.
