Wez
Hey All, How easy would it be to install a focus washer bottle level on the supra, I would like an LED to light up on the dash when mine is approx 3/4 empty.
silvershark44
Thats a cool idea. Ive often thought if it were possible to put simple electronics from other cars into the supra. So keep us posted on this one! One thing ive always thought would be a good idea, is something like a fuel computer to show your current MPG like on the new golfs. Wez
Thinking about a low level warning as I will be using the tank for water/meth injection as well as window washers

TrickTT
Looking at that switch, just drill a hole in the washer bottle at the height you want the warning to be, then wire it up +12v -- warning led -- switch -- ground.
paul mac
nice to see a fellow scrapyard rummiger, i moved my washer bottle to the boot to make way for coolers, the "new" one came out of a mazda and the level switch out of a merc, the only thing i would say about the type of level switch you have is it would "bounce" a bit when reaching low level and the warning light would flicker a bit, other than that just drill a hole and make sure you get it the right way up try to keep it mounted level as well

edge
Doesnt have to be from a car either(unless you have a spare). Plenty of flow switches on the market.

Tricky-Ricky
Thinking about a low level warning as I will be using the tank for water/meth injection as well as window washers Aquamist do a level sensor that goes with the DDS-3 gauge, which could easily be adapted, you just need to cut a hole in the tank you want to use and tighten up a nut. Tricky-Ricky
OK I now want a DDS3 http://www.aquamist.co.uk/press/DDS3-v8.jpg Don't know which kit you have but i have run an Aquamist 2C kit on two different cars for the last three years, and i started out with the first gauge they did the DDS-2, and them changed for the DDS-3 works very well, the in tank switch will cut the pump if the levels get low and also lets you know if you have blocked jet etc, the 2C kit can be run from the sub injector map of an emanage:)
