Well, anyones really but I bought a set, and I'm going to fit them tomorrow. Chris said "feel" would be better without the shims, but they may squeal.

How much do they squeal? because I want to do everything I can to improve the brakes.

Bearing in mind I've got a de-catted Hiper, so most people hear the car from a long way off anyhow.

Road, the bog standard OEM replacement ones.

road should be almost completely quiet, may have a minor squeal if not used hard for a long time (eg driving through london for a few hours).

The old race ones used to sound like a bus, really loud but exceptional braking, easily the match for a set of UK brakes. Chris supplied the road compound as he had a lot of people who couldnt take the noise from race pads.
