so now ive got one

 

ive seen a few in air vents but ive looked into this and im not liking the fitment,(theres a gap around the gauge)

 

i dont want to loose the clock either

 

so where are people fitting them?

The AEM is a 52mm if Im not mistaken, only 52mm slot is the clock one. To fit it in a 60mm vent you'll need to fabricate some form of 'face plate' to tidy it up.

 

Only other alternative is an A-Pillar gauge which will support both 52/60mm gauges.

Simon's car is a facelift though so his clock hole is bigger. 60mm I think

Just measured my (facelift) clock (it's on the bench in the garage:))

62mm (give or take). The hole in the dash is obviously a little bigger to give clearance, so probably 63 or 64.

jake your right a 60mm gauge fits lovely in the clock hole but i really wana leave the clock,

You could take the 'guts' out of the vent. Leave the housing and the adjustment 'ball' in place, but cut (read break:)) out the adjustment knob and vanes.

thats what i was going to do but after getting the air vent out and in bits its too big and will have a gap around the gauge,

 

not quite the fit i was looking for.

i think im going to weld a blank in the air vent hole recut the right size and paint the dash,not really what i was wanting to do as i dont think ill get a spot on match to the rest of the dash,so i guessd im gona be painting the whole dash this week

 

I have mine ontop of the steering wheel cowling in a pod, perfect for viewing and i can still see all round the edge of the rev counter.

I put mine a custom cut holed A Pillar pod from Envy.

i have an a pillar pod from envy already with boost and egt 60mm gauges to go in,so that ones out

I gutted the clock, and mounted it in the clock housing/case
