wwhilst investigating a rattle comnig from the passenger side of the engine bay, I found the the FPR was lose on it's brakets, I've tightened it up, but whilst doing so my fingers became a little damp.

Had a sniff and it's defo pertol, am I ok to give the fittings a good tighten, or do i need to be careful here so's not to snap anything / over tighten ?

and yep it goes without saying i shant be smoking or using a naked flame to illuminae what I'm doing.

If its an aeromotive as you say, then i would suggest using some PTFE paste (pipe dope) on the AN fittings.
